Why is the Honda BF250 so much quieter than other outboard motors? That’s the large air intake silencer.
It Sips Fuel
The BF250 runs on up to 30% less fuel at cruising speed compared to other outboards in its class – made possible by Honda’s Lean Burn Control which allows combustion of a leaner air to fuel mixture.
The Tuned Dual Exhaust also increases efficiency and performance by wrapping around the the outside of the oil pan, reducing heat build up.
The Oxygen and knock sensors correct the fuel flow and ignition curve to maximize efficiency and performance as well.
